Part of our goal with the IPAs is to help podcasters connect and learn from each other (and maybe help you find a few new fans!). That’s why we’ll be creating an intimate podcast theatre space at CSPS Hall and presenting live podcasts all day leading up to the awards show in the evening.

Terms and additional information:

• Limited time slots are available (there are only so many hours in the day, after all). IPA Staff and Committee will review submissions and make offers for performance slots based on diversity of hosts, genres, and additional representations with the goal of creating a diverse lineup of Iowan shows. (Offers for performance slots should NOT be considered a reflection of quality or any level of award consideration).

• There will be no costs charged to and no compensation shared with any live podcast performers. This is a “by the community, for the community” initiative.

• Time slots will be set for a firm 30 minutes. This is to accommodate as many shows as possible and also manage the transition between shows. If your show is typically longer than 30 minutes, we recommend presenting a special shortened variation of your show.

• A furnished set, lights, microphones, headphones, projector, and sound engineer will be provided. Additional information and specifics will be shared with selected participants closer to the event.

• Performances will be recorded and raw files will be shared with the podcasters for your future use.

• The IPAs reserve the right to use and distribute live podcast recordings for future promotional use, but agree to not monetize the distribution of the recordings in any way.
