What are the Honor Awards?
The Honor Awards are just that - special awards given out by the community to those in the community who are doing something special and worth honoring. Anyone in the community can nominate someone else and anyone in the community can win as long as they are eligible by producing a podcast that 1) released 3 or more episodes in the last 12 months, 2) atleast 51% of the episodes were produced in Iowa, and 3) the show is currently available to the public and has a public RSS feed. Nominations and votes are free.
This Year’s Awards:
The Community Impact Award: This award is given to creators who are using the medium of podcasting to create change in their local/regional community.
The Innovation Award: This award is given to creators and shows whose work is pushing the boundaries of podcasting and exploring new ways to work within this medium.
The Advocacy Award: This award is given to an individual who is going above and beyond to advocate for the accessibility and growth of digital content creation in the State of Iowa.
The Emerging Podcast Award: This award is given to a podcast which launched within the last 12 months and has already showcased the potential to be impactful to its audiences as an “Up-and-Coming” podcast.
